Police lathicharge NHRM workers

Several contractual National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) workers, demanding regularisation of services, were today injured after police used force to disperse them when they tried to march towards Vidhan Bhawan, police said.
The NHRM workers were staging a dharna at Laxman Mela ground demanding regularisation of jobs.
When the workers attempted to march towards Vidhan Bhawan from Laxman Mela ground, they were stopped by the police, but when they refused, police used force to break up the protest, they said.
Eyewitnesses claimed 10 persons were injured in police lathicharge.
Police said situation was under control.
