Police probing extortion complaint against JD(U) MLA

Police is probing a complaint by a contractor of Power Grid Corporation project against a ruling JD(U) MLA of demanding Rs 5 lakh extortion money, a senior police officer said today.
Superintendent of Police of Saran Satyabir Singh confirmed receiving the complaint of extortion against JD(U) MLA from Amnaur Krishna Kumar Singh "Mantu" and said he has asked Deputy Superintendent of Police Marauhra Lalbabu Yadav to investigate the matter.
The complainant S K Singh alleged that the MLA had sought Rs 5 lakh extortion to allow trouble-free construction work at Power Grid Corporation project at Rasoolpur under Amnaur police station of the district, the SP said.
