A complaint was lodged at Mehrauli police station by Frederick Ndegwa, political counselor from Kenya embassy, on the intervening night of July 17-18, about the illegal confinement of the Kenyan woman Gladys wambui mwangi (26), in Rajpur Extension, said a senior police officer.
The location where the woman was reportedly kept was identified by the police as a house in Rajpur Khurd Extension and rescued her in a raid, said the officer.
During investigation police found that Gladys was brought to India on promise of a secretary's job in China. But, she was confined by the accused. Her passport was also snatched away from her as she was forced to join illegal activities by the accused.
