Police seized stolen cigarette and guthka valued at Rs 1.2 crore and Rs 20 lakh in cash from a house at Mirza in Kamrup district.
Acting on a tip off, police launched an operation and seized the cigarette, guthka and the money from the house of one Mani Talukder yesterday, the police said.
The seized goods were transported in a Agartala-bound truck, but it was hijacked from Guwahati by some miscreants recently.
On a complaint, the police launched an operation and found the goods at Mirza, they said.
The house owner Mani Talukder and one Aidur Rahman were arrested.
