M Satish Kumar, the officer, allegedly sought sexual favours from the woman who had come to the Medchal police station yesterday with some complaint. He misbehaved with her, and also "misbehaved and abused" her daughter later, Assistant Commissioner of Police S Ashok Kumar told PTI.
A case under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC and under the Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act has been registered.
The accused was arrested and produced before a court and sent in remand, the ACP added.
