Power dept staff held for taking bribe

A junior engineer and lineman of Jaipur Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Limited posted at Marena in Dholpur district were today arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000, an official spokesman said here.
The accused were identified as JE Sudhir Chouhan and lineman Raju Paharia, the spokesman said.
One Ashok had lodged a complaint with the ACB that the duo had demanded the bribe of Rs 5,000 for replacing the distribution point of floor mill.
Based on the complaint, the ACB organised a raid in which they were caught red handed.
A case under Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against them, the spokesman said.
