On the speculations following the SP leader's praise for Advani, he said, "The BJP stalwart does not need any certificate.... But the sudden praise by Yadav requires to be given a thought."
Terming Mulayam's remark as guided by politics, Mishra said "there is always a deep thought into whatever he says."
Mishra told reporters here, "The praise along with the comment on Third Front was made to divert the attention of people from failures of the Akhilesh Yadav government."
On the issue of Third Front, Mishra said, "Before every Lok Sabha poll, regional parties give air to such speculations like a slogan which never turn into a reality."
Terming both the Samajwadi Party and BSP as "unreliable", he said that while they support the UPA at the Centre, the two parties oppose each other in the Uttar Pradesh.
This has created an atmosphere of uncertainty, he said.
To a question on whether the UPA was trying to wean away the Janata Dal (U) from the NDA, Mishra exuded confidence that it was united and going to expand further.
Alleging that SP workers and leaders had a role in the 34 clashes which took place in the state in the past year, he said that police was not even lodging FIRs in all the incidents.
