The agreement is aimed at reducing unscheduled removal of engines, their regular maintenance and ensuring a higher standards of safety, Vistara said in a release.
The V2500 engine is offered through IAE International Aero Engines, a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders comprise Pratt and Whitney, Pratt and Whitney Aero Engines International, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines, it said.
The company, however, did not disclose the deal size.
Vistara has done a remarkable job in its initial phase and Pratt and Whitney is excited to support the airline, said Greg Gernhardt, president, Pratt and Whitney Commercial Engines.
"Our job is to help Vistara, maintain a superior level of service with consistent high on-time performance and provide safe and reliable air travel for their customers as we take care of the engines," he said.
