President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Shimla from May 20 to 24 for which elaborate security arrangements are being made, a senior official said today.
The president is expected to land at Kalyani helipad near Chharabra village, 14 km from here and stay at Retreat Summer Holiday Resort of resident. The detailed programme of the president is being worked out, Chief Secretary Vineet Chowdhary said after a high-level meet to review the preparations.
He directed all the officers to make elaborate preparations for the scheduled visit of the president.
The meeting was attended by additional chief secretaries, DGP, secretaries and heads of the departments.
