Prez to inaugurate aviation show in Hyderabad in March

Leading aircraft manufacturers and airlines participate in India Aviation-2016, an international exhibition-cum-conference on civil aviation, which will be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee.
Mukherjee will open the 5th edition of India Aviation, which will be held from March 16 to 20 at Begumpet Airport here.
Union Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Nayan Choubey today held a high-level meeting with Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, other officials and reviewed the arrangements of the five-day show, an official release said here.
The President will also witness an aerobatic display to be organised as part of the event, whose theme is "India's civil aviation sector: potential as global manufacturing hub", it said.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju will be present at the meet on the second day.
The first three days of the expo will be for business activities and on the last two days (March 19 and 20) it will be thrown open for public.
More than 200 entities are expected to attend the show, which will see participation from industry stake-holders like aircraft and equipment manufacturers, skill development and training institutions, airlines, air cargo operators and airport infrastructure developers, among others.
While the US and Canada are the partner nations, delegations from more than 25 countries like France, Jamaica, Mauritius, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, Greece and Singapore will participate in the show.
Leading aircraft manufacturers and aviation players such as Boeing, Airbus, Textron, Embraer, Gulfstream, Agusta Westland, Dassault, Bell Helicopters, Russian Helicopters, Airbus Helicopters besides engine manufacturers like CFM, UTC, GE Aviation and Rolls Royce will be present, the release said.
Foreign carriers like Qatar Airways, Emirates and Etihad will be participating at the meet, where Governments of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will send their representatives, it added.
