Conveying his greetings and good wishes, Mukherjee said, "Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram is the embodiment of selfless service and the highest moral and ethical principles."
"May the celebrations inspire us to model our lives on the life and deeds of Shri Ram. Let us strive to spread his noble message of righteous conduct and rededicate ourselves to building a great nation," the President said in his message.
In his message, Vice President Hamid Ansari said, "As we celebrate the birthday of Lord Ram, let us also emulate his ideals of righteousness, compassion and integrity, so that we build a just and harmonious society."
"The festival of Ram Navami is an occasion for us to renew our resolve to discharge our duties and responsibilities with commitment and sincerity," Singh said.
"May the festival bring joy and happiness to all," the Prime Minister said.
