Projects worth Rs 27,000 crore sanctioned for UP: Rly Min

Projects worth Rs 27,000 crore have been sanctioned for Uttar Pradesh, the highest allocation for the state so far, Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha today said.
"This year rail projects worth Rs 27,000 have been sanctioned for UP," he told reporters here.
He said after the government's formation at the Centre, the average rail line construction has increased from 4.6 kms per day to seven kms per day.
He said a target has been fixed to increase the line construction to 13 km.
Sinha said Gomti Nagar Railway Station in Lucknow would be developed as one of the best stations in the country.
