Pulses extends rising trend on paucity of stocks, firm demand

There was no change in the pattern of trading at the wholesale pulses market in the national capital today with prices advancing further up to Rs 300 per quintal largley on the back of strong demand amid paucity of stocks in the market.
Traders said persistent rise in prices of select pulses was mostly supported by low stocks against strong demand from retailers but the government's decision to import restricted rise.
Prices of moong and its dal chilka local, dhoya local and best quality climbed Rs 300 to end at Rs 7,900-8,500, Rs 8,500-8,900, Rs 8,800-9,300 and Rs 9,300-9,500 per quintal, respectively.
In line with overall trends, masoor small, bold, its dal local and best quality also hardened by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,200-7,100, Rs 6,300-7,200, Rs 7,500-7,700 and Rs 7,600-7,800 per quintal.
Malka local and best rose by Rs 100 each at Rs 8,400-8,850 and Rs 8,500-8,900, while arhar and arhar dara edged up by Rs 200 each at Rs 10,100-10,500 and Rs 11,700-11,900 per quintal.
Gram and its dal too flared up by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,100-5,900, Rs 5,500-5,700, Rs 5,600-5,900 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 6,200-7,100, bold Rs 6,300-7,200, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,500-7,700, best quality Rs 7,600-7,800, Malka local Rs 8,400-8,850, best Rs 8,500-8,900, Moth Rs 5,600-6,000, Arhar Rs 10,100-10,500, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 11,700-11,900.
Gram Rs 5,100-5,900, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,500-5,700, best quality Rs 5,600-5,900, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,230, Rajdhani Rs 2,230, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,900-6,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 5,150-7,650, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,000-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,800-2,825 and green Rs 3,050-3,150.
