Around 2 kg of heroin was seized by BSF personnel near border outpost Rajoke in Punjab's Ferozepur sector, an official said on Saturday.
The Border Security Force troopers noticed suspicious movement on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday and fired at the suspects, however, they managed to escape, he said.
Later, two packets of heroin weighing 1.9 kg were recovered from the spot, they said.
