Punjab govt to bring more services under RTS ambit

Aiming at bringing more transparency into service delivery system, the Punjab Government has decided to bring more services under the ambit of Right to Service (RTS) Act.
Besides the 12 areas already present, more services will be brought under the RTS, Local Bodies minister Chunni Lal Bhagat said in a release here today.
The new services to be inducted include tax assessment register in cases of change of ownership, death, registered will, un-registered will and court orders, and issue and renew of trade licenses.
The services which are already being provided to public under RTS are sanction of building plan, issue of completion and occupation certificates, issue of NoCs, duplicate allotment letter and re-allotment letter, issue of conveyance deed, issue of no due certificate, transfer of property in case of sale, transfer of property in case of death, issue of permission for mortgage and sanction of water supply and sewerage connection.
