Punjab: Over One kg heroin seized by BSF near Indo-Pak border

The BSF and the Narcotic Control Bureau have seized over one kg of heroin at Gulgarh border out post (BOP) in Amritsar sector along the Indo-Pak border here.
Based upon specific information provided by the Narcotics Control Bureau, a special joint search operation was launched ahead of border security fence last night, BSF DIG R S Kataria said today.
During the search, 1.415 kg of heroin was recovered wrapped in white polythene and buried in soil, the officer added.
