"The ordinance on Land Acquisition Act will have its impact in the whole country. We have been raising the issue since the election campaigning and the truth has come out now," claimed JMM leader and former chief minister Hemant Soren.
"Debate on R&R can take place only after what we will see following the ordinance," the leader of the opposition told the media here.
Another senior JMM leader and ex-deputy chief minister Stephen Marandi claimed that the ordinance could hit the Regulation Act, 1855 and the Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act, both formulated to protect tribals and their land in the Santhal Pargana region.
