Rahul Shivshankar appointed Chief Editor of Times Now

TV journalist Rahul Shivshankar has been appointed Chief Editor at English news channel Times Now.
This was announced today by Times Network, the broadcast arm of Bennett Coleman & Company, which operates the 24-hour channel.
Based out of Mumbai, Shivshankar will directly report to Times Network Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer M K Anand.
He will lead the editorial team of Times Now and work closely with the business and leadership teams to ensure that the channel grows significantly and profitably, the media firm said in a statement here.
This would be Shivshankar's second stint with the network after six years - earlier he worked as Senior Editor of Times Now. During his career, he has also served as Editor- In-Chief of NewsX and Executive Editor of Headlines Today (TV Today Network).
"We are confident that the vast knowledge and domain expertise which he brings with him will hold Times Now in good stead and reaffirm the channel's leadership position in the market," Anand said.
