The two projects will be jointly developed by the Railways and the Odisha government, a statement issued by East Coast Railways said.
The Railways has identified plots and submitted documents to the state government through the land acquisition officers, it said.
The projects have been earmarked for early commissioning in the interest of the development of less-developed areas of the state.
The Railways, in its statement, expressed hope that land acquisition would be smooth with the cooperation of the state government.
These projects would help in fostering growth and development of nearby areas, the statement said.
In October last year, an agreement was signed between Odisha government and the Indian Railways for the 33337.57-km broad gauge line between Jeypore and Nabarangpur.
The state government has agreed to provide land for free and bear 50 per cent cost of the project.
