Rain stops play as Sri Lanka reach 242/4

A steady downpour stopped proceedings in the post lunch session on the third day of the second cricket Test between India and Sri Lanka, here today.
At the time when rain stopped play, Sri Lanka were 242 for four with Lahiru Thirimanne being dismissed by Ishant Sharma caught by Wriddhiman Saha for 62.
Only three overs of play was possible in the post lunch session. At the crease are skipper Angelo Mathews batting on 84 and in-form Dinesh Chandimal, who is yet to open his account.
