Rajnath's remarks indicative of PDP-BJP's differences: Cong

Home Minister Rajnath Singh's remarks on AFSPA and dialogue with separatists, have exposed the differences between the ruling PDP-BJP coalition, J&K Congress unit said today.
"Contradictions in the approach of both BJP and PDP towards Jammu and Kashmir have alienated the people of all the three regions of the state...The difference of opinion on AFSPA by both PDP and BJP has exposed the so called Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the coalition government," state Congress president G A Mir said addressing a meeting of the party here.
"The tall claims of PDP with regard to revocation of AFSPA and its commitment with people have proved a hoax," he said.

Ruling out any talks with separatist groups in the state, Singh had yesterday said the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) would be revoked when the situation is conducive for it.
"NDA government does not trust PDP which has failed on every count despite sacrificing their core agenda for the sake of power," Mir said.
He said the statements issued by NDA leaders especially Defence Minister and Home Minister with regard to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir were clear indication of "division" between PDP and BJP.
The Congress leader called for a special session of the Legislative Assembly so that the "issue confronting people can be discussed threadbare for resolution".

He urged the party cadre to work hard for rejuvenating the party at all levels, remain vigilant and defeat the "anti people polices" of PDP-BJP coalition.
