Stand-up comedian Raju Shrivastava wielded the broom and cleaned the premises of Banke Bihari temple here, voicing support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
Raju, who was nominated for the campaign by Modi, cleaned the premises of the temple here yesterday.
"When the Prime Minister has undertaken this task, then we must support it," he told reporters.
"Now on, wherever I go for shows, I will first raise awareness about cleanliness among people. It is our responsibility to keep the country clean," he said adding that the campaign must not be specific to a political party and be devoid of politics.
