Six migratory ducks were found dead here today with no explanation for the same immediately available from forest and wildlife authorities.
After the residents of Dhatrath village in the district here informed them about the birds which were found dead in a pond, forest and wildlife officials this evening visited the area and surveyed the site.
According to the officials, unclean water in the pond may have proven fatal for the ducks although they added that tests needed to be carried out on the carcasses for ascertaining the cause of the deaths.
Health officials, too, visited the village after learning of the deaths.
