"Launching my new film 'Rai' The Greatest Gangster Ever on May 1st. Vivek Oberoi will be playing the title role," Varma posted on Twitter.
The director and Oberoi have previously worked together in "Company", "Road", "Darna Mana Hai", Rakht Charitra - I" "Rakht Charitra - 2".
Varma said that "Rai" will be made in four languages - Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
"'Rai' will be extensively shot in Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Dubai and London," the 54-year-old director said.
