A Haryanvi himself, Hooda, was part of wrestling drama "Sultan", released last year with Salman Khan as lead actor.
"The Haryanvi attitude is (being) dabang (fearless). People's attention is drawn towards it now (through the films). I am proud of being a Haryanvi and happy to be part of one of such films.
"I am happy that the sports culture, tough lifestyle and innocence of Haryana is reaching to people (from other states)," Hooda told reporters here.
Meanwhile, Hooda remained non-committal about campaigning for BJP in the forthcoming Assembly elections in five states, saying he has no such plan right now.
"My mother is a BJP member. My sister's father-in-law is also a member of the party. Our association with the party is quite old. I am not in the party right now. There is no plan to campaign for it right now," he told reporters when asked about speculation of him joining BJP.
Hooda made the remarks during a briefing about a spiritual fair being organised in Haryana's Gurugram between February 2 and February 5. The fair is being organised by Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair.
