Alleging irregularities in various urban master plans and development projects under the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Haryana, sulking Congress MP Rao Inderjit Singh today sought inquiry into these "scams".
"There are large-scale scams in the drafted and approved master plans of around 15 cities and granting of permission for change of land use of more than 20,000 acres of land across the state," he said
Singh, speaking here after inaugurating the office of his newly-floated social organisation 'Insaf Munch', demanded a review of these decisions in the interest of the state.
Singh further said the state government had only done "lip service" in the granting of 25,000 acres of land in Gurgaon and Jhajjar to a private company for development of Special Economic Zone.
"At that time, government had claimed that the project will give jobs to 5 lakh youths and attract investment to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crore, but nothing materialised. Now, this SEZ had been de-notified and new CLU is being granted for developing residential projects on this land," Singh said.
Singh said he would ensure probe into all the "scams" that took place in the state, including the DLF land deal, if he becomes part of the next government in the state.
Singh said he is also among the persons who are afraid of CBI as it is being controlled by Central government, but stopped short of commenting when asked whether the agency was being misused by the Centre.
