The 41-year-old actress will play Bow Johnson's sister in an episode which is scheduled to air in late April, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The plot will be on the lines of the incorrect belief that the two sisters share a lot in common.
The TV series will also see Daveed Diggs reprise his role as Bow's hippie brother, Hamilton and Anna Deveare Smith, who plays Bow's mother on the show.
Apart from featuring in the Emmy-winnimg show, Jones will return to the small screen on April 10, reprising her role as the titular police detective in TBS's "Angie Tribeca".
