"Our government is neither a 'suit boot ki sarkar' or 'suitcase ki sarkar' but it is 'sujh bujh ki sarkar," Prasad told reporters in reply to a question about Gandhi's attack on the Modi government being a 'suit boot ki sarkar' two days ago at an election rally in Bihar.
The NDA government, he said, has mopped up Rs 1.1 lakh crore from spectrum auction and Rs 3 lakh crore from block auctions in transparent manner unlike spectrum and coal scams during the UPA rule.
"Why should we bother about Rahul Gandhi and his remarks when he is not a factor in Bihar Assembly polls, neither for us nor for his own party - the Congress, which is contesting only 41 seats?" he asked.
In a sharp dig, he said, "Gandhi is not a factor in Bihar Assembly polls as he has increasingly become a seasonal politician who goes out on vacation frequently... His campaign in Bihar is illusory."
On the Dadri lynching issue recently, Prasad said the Prime Minister has already spoken about it at yesterday's rally in Nawada.
"As far as the beef issue is concerned in Bihar, it was initiated by the RJD supremo for votebank politics and by doing so he has hurt the sentiments of the people," he said.
On the controversy arising out of beef export, he said that it was a different issue having ramifications for several states and should be dealt with separately.
