The "Pitch Perfect" star will play lead in the new version of the Steve Martin and Michael Caine classic, reported Variety.
Like in the 1988 comedy (which was itself a remake of Marlon Brando's 'Bedtime Story'), "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 2.0" pits two con artists against each other as they try to scam the rich - only this time they'll both be women.
"Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is the latest in a string of Hollywood hits being re-branded around female casts - fresh off the USD 160 million made by the "Ghostbusters" reboot.
