Meanwhile, groundnut oil, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In futures market, castorseeds prices moved down further on selling pressure amidst poor export enquiries.
In the edible section, Refined palmolein firmed up by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 605 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 601. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,190 per 10 kg.
In the futures section, castorseed for September contract resumed lower at Rs 3,485 and hovered between Rs 3,544 and Rs 3,471 before closing at Rs 3,480 from Rs 3,505 yesterday, showing a fall of Rs 25 per tonne.
However, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil all ended stable at Rs 3,300, Rs 690 and Rs 705, respectively.
