Rice basmati eases on adequate supply

Barring a fall in rice basmati prices on adequate supplies against weak demand, rest other grains held steady at the wholesale market today in thin trade.
Traders said adequate stocks position against subdued demand mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common slipped to Rs 9,000-9,700 against last close of Rs 9,000-Rs 9,800, while Pusa-1121 variety held steady at Rs 7,300-9,800 per quintal.
