Making a scathing attack on its former ally JD(U), BJP today criticised the ruling party for inducting "history-sheeters" into its fold and said it threatens to bring back "bad days" of RJD rule.
"It seems heart of RJD has entered into JD(U) which is inducting history-sheeters who ruled the roost in the state under RJD time," former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters.
He was reacting to induction of Shah Alam alias Shabbu and Rajesh Kumar Roshan alias Bablu Deo, facing several criminal cases, into JD(U).
Sushil Modi claimed he has information that JD(U) made all efforts to induct somebody from family of jailed RJD strongman from Siwan, Mohammad Shahbuddin, into the party but it did not materialise as the family turned down the offer.
These things do not portend good for the state and there is strong fear of Bihar returning to "bad" days under the RJD time, the senior BJP leader said.
Sushil Modi alleged the state government under instruction of the Chief Minister was "targetting" Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Kuldip Narayan who has launched a campaign against illegal multi-storey buildings in the state capital.
"Since, the PMC Commissioner is acting on instructions of the High Court which has given an order that he cannot be removed without its consent, the building mafias enjoying patronage of JD(U) has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court for order to remove the commissioner who has blacklisted 141 high-rise buildings for violation of rules," he said.
