The dual SIM phone, equipped with 4,000mAH battery, comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. It has a Digital DTS Surround technology, a five inch LCD display, Reliance Jio said in a statement.
The phone sports an 8 MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera and provides high definition voice calling over (VoLTE) Voice Over Long Term Evolution facility.
4G telecom operator Reliance Jio recently opened up its services for general public on trial basis but a person will be able to buy its SIM only after getting invite from employees of Reliance Industries group firms.
Brokerage firm CLSA had recently said Reliance Retail's LYF smartphone could become a USD 1 billion brand in 2016-17 and corner a market share of about 7 per cent.
