Robert Pattinson to play Mike Nesmith
The 26-year-old actor, who rose to fame with the portrayal of the character of Edward Cullen in the hit vampire franchise, has showed interest to star in it, reported Daily star.
"He is interested in the role," a source said.
Grammy-Award winning musician Nesmith, 69, is best known as a member of the American pop band and star of the TV series of the same name.
Pattinson is currently gearing up for the final installment of "Twilight" franchise "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" which will hit theatres on November 16.
