The vigilance officials conducted simultaneous searches at several places allegations of acquisition and possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by the anganwadi worker.
Searches were conducted at a three-storied building here belonging to the anganwadi worker, her paternal house, office room and factory at Balabhadrapur and rice mills at Madanpur and Pattamundai in Kendrapara district.
The officials found 13 plots valued at Rs 1.7 crore and the building at Pandra in Bhubaneswar in the name of her husband which was valed at about Rs 25.18 lakh.
The woman had joined as anganwadi worker in 2008 at a remuneration of Rs 4,500 per month. At present she gets a salary of Rs 6,500 per month.
