"30-year-old Geeta, wife of the van driver Om Pal Singh, who escaped with Rs 51 lakh after drugging three others on September 28, was arrested yesterday when she went to Muthoot Finance Corporation at Durga Puri," a senior police official said.

Geeta was residing at DDA Flats Narela and has two children -- a son and a daughter.

On September 28, Singh managed to escape with the van and money chest after drugging two employees of Logi Cash Solution Private Ltd Hemant and Yogesh and one gunman Brijesh.

The accused and three others had left the regional office at Jhandewalan, with Rs 81 lakh in cash.

After loading cash in various ATM machines of Oriental Bank of Commerce, Central Bank of India and United Bank of India at ATMS in Kishan Ganj and Kamla Nagar, Singh offered sweets laced with sedatives to his colleagues.

When the van reached near Kirorimal College, all three fell unconscious in the vehicle. The vehicle was found abandoned at Jahangirpuri metro station the next day with three lying unconscious, said P Karunakaran, DCP North-West district.

Police raided Singh's house at Najafgarh and Nand Nagari without success. Durng the probe, police came to know that Geeta was having an account Muthoot Finance Co in Durgapuri.

During interrogation, she said her husband, a permanent resident of village Tatesar, was a history sheeter, police said.
