Thapa, a government employee in District Treasury Office, Nahan had gone to withdrew Rs 90,000 cash from local branch of State Bank of India.
Thapa after collecting the cash asked the bank officer to change a damaged Rs 1,000 currency note, police said adding, the bank employee asked him to remove a piece of cello tape pasted on the torn part of the note.
When Thapa noticed that his bag was missing, he raised an alarm and Bank manager called police.
