A defamation case has been lodged against Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde by RSS workers in a local court here over his 'Hindu terror' remark.
The case was filed over Shinde's statement on January 20 last year in Jaipur session of the AICC in which he had accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of conducting terror training camps and promoting "Hindu terrorism".
Accepting the petition filed by VHP and RSS activist Vijai Bahadur Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Trapta Chaudhary fixed the next hearing for March 11.
According to petitioner's advocate Sahib Singh Deshavar, Shinde's statement was prominently published in the next day newspapers, besides being broadcast by the TV channels.
Some workers were offended after reading and hearing Shinde's statement, Deshavar said.
