S B Nimse appointed Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University

S B Nimse has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Lucknow University by the Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor of the varsity B L Joshi.
Nimse was earlier serving as the Vice Chancellor of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (Vishnupuri Nanded), Principal Secretary to Governor Manjeet Singh said in a release issued here.
Born on Nov 14, 1950, Nimse completed his Ph.D in Mathematics in 1982 and taught undergraduate and post graduate students of Mathematics for 34 years.
He has written 12 books on Mathematics and 12 Research Articles on the subject.
The tenure of present VC, G B Patnaik, a retired IAS officer, is ending on May 2.
