SAD youth leader's wife commits suicide

The wife of a SAD youth leader today allegedly committed suicide here, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Jaswinder Kaur (38), wife of Ranjit Singh the SAD's rural youth wing's goodwill president in Rupnagar, they said.

She is survived by her husband and three children.

Kaur shot herself in the head and died on the spot, police said.

The cause behind her taking the extreme step is not yet clear, they said.

Police is investigating the case.
