Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang flagged off the Torch Relay from TT Stadium and it culminated at local ground, Kohima.
Leader of the Torch Relay, Biswajit Basumatary, in his brief address at local ground said the torch relay is a pre-programme of the 12th SAG.
The torch arrived from Delhi on January 20 at Shillong and reached here yesterday covering other North Eastern states, except Itanagar. From here, the torch would reach Itanagar and then Guwahati on February 5 for the inaugural function of the 12th SAG.
Sports persons from the state, students from schools and colleges, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, Bharat Scouts & Guides, dignitaries and government officials led by Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar participated in the relay.
The SAG is being organised for the first time in North East Region at Guwahati and Shillong from February 5 to 16.
