Saharanpur police to use social media for quick action

In order to ensure quick redressal of complaints, the city police has come up with a number of initiatives including use of social media.
"Names and addresses of robbers and 1,400 history sheeters who are registered in police records will be uploaded on social media so that people can know about them," said Nitin Tiwari, Superintendent of Police Saharanpur.
Besides, policemen will visit the houses of elderly people to know their complaints. In addition to this, there will be massive checking at city's 15 landmark places on a daily basis, he said.
