Shah Rukh, who will be making his debut appearance on Salman-hosted "Bigg Boss" this weekend to promote "Dilwale", said they have no plans of working together in near future.
"There is no such plan of working in a film together. If you just look at our calendars, our spaces are full. Personally, my calendar is full. I am sure Salman is also busy. He is shooting for 'Sultan' right now and he told me about his another film," Shah Rukh told PTI.
Asked whether it would be too expensive to cast them together in a film considering they are the highest paid actors of Bollywood, Shah Rukh quipped, "I am cheap and sweet. I don't know about Salman's salary."
The actor, 50, is looking forward to the release of "Dilwale", which will see him reuniting with friend Kajol after a gap of five years.
"We don't sit down and chat. Ajay is a quiet guy and so am I in real life. I may come out as more talkative in public. We are friends. If I have any issue, I can pick up the phone at 3am and call Ajay and tell him 'Listen, I need Kajol to come and do this for me' and he will drive her.
Shah Rukh said despite what people perceive about him and Ajay, the two actors are always there for each other in the time of crisis.
Shah Rukh feels he and Kajol, who have been friends for the longest time and are counted among the most successful onscreen pairs in Bollywood, click together because they have immense respect for each other's work.
"Dilwale", directed by Rohit Shetty, also stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Johnny Lever among others in prominent roles. The film releases tomorrow.
Shah Rukh was offered the film when he was shooting for a Yash Raj project and was bowled over by the film's title.
"The film's title was Rohit's idea. It was always planned to be that because the whole film is about how you have to have a larger heart to forgive and move on in life. It comes very subtly and it's a commercial film. He had Dilwale title always in the mind.
