Automatic sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed at Khurda Road and Sambalpur railway stations in Odisha, the railways today said.
Called Happy Nari, the machines have been provided by East Coast Railway Womens Welfare Organisation, an East Coast Railway (ECoR) release said.
The machines were installed yesterday at Khurda Road and Sambalpur railway stations, it said.
One can get the sanitary pads by inserting a Rs 5 coin.
The machines have been installed at a cost of Rs 16,000 each. The capacity of the machine is 75 pads, which can be refilled as per requirement.
Such sanitary napkin dispensers have already been installed at Bhubaneswar railway station.
