A bench comprising justices R M Lodha and Shiva Kirti Singh issued notice to BCA and its affiliated district cricket associations on the ad-hoc committee's plea seeking stay of the July 10 decision of the high court.
The ad-hoc committee, through its convener Abdul Bari Siddique, who is also a senior RJD leader, contended that the high court was not justified in allowing BCA Secretary Ajay Narayan Sharma to operate its bank account as the committee of management for cricket in Bihar was "illegally constituted".
The petition, filed by advocate B K Mishra, contended that the committee of the management was neither recognised by the BCCI nor the Bank of India with which the association had the account.
