The committee, headed by Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha, held its first meeting today and prepared an action plan on going about its mandate.
After the all-party meeting, a plan on how to spend the funds for the current fiscal would be prepared, Rajanarasimha told reporters here.
The sub-committee would also hold meetings with various stakeholders for taking their advice and workshops would also be conducted at various places in the state, he said.
An amount of Rs 1,400 crore would be given for the SC plan and Rs 450 crore for the ST plan this year.
The sub-committee was constituted by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to prepare the guidelines for ensuring that the funds meant for SC/ST sub-plans are spent without any lacunae.
The funds meant for the sub-plans were earlier found to be not utilised properly. PTI SJR
