A school director was today electrocuted and three students were seriously injured when high voltage electric current passed through the flagpole during a flag hoisting ceremony on Independence Day at a school here.
Somehow the flagpole came in contact with a live wire and the school director Shashi Bhushan Prasad (45) and three students suffered electric shocks while hoisting the flag, Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Pandey said.
All four were rushed to the Nawada Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared Prasad as 'brought dead', the DSP added.
The students have been admitted to a private hospital and their condition is stated to be stable, he said.
