Conceding the demand of parents, a city-based residential school today relaxed its rules allowing desiring students to bring lunch from home, a day after some of them fell sick after eating food served in the institution.
As some parents gathered at the Camford International School to protest against suspected food poisoning, the School clarified that spinach served during lunch may not have suited some children and assured to take utmost care in future.
The parents also protested against the school meal plan and wanted it to be made optional and sought an apology, police said.
The management called them for discussion and agreed to do so from tomorrow, Principal S G Kavitha said in a release.
"In this regard, a circular is being sent home, whereby parents can select to either continue with the school meal plan or send breakfast and lunch from home," Kavitha said.
