A press statement issued by the party claimed that as many as 650 people joined BJP from Okhla and Ghonda constituencies along with an active worker of the Aam Aadmi Party and a JD(U) former candidate at a function here.
It said that representatives of various auto rickshaw and taxi unions of Delhi have also announced support to the BJP and about 100 auto rickshaw drivers joined the party.
BJP national secretary Maheish Girri, who was also present at the function, said: "The Modi government is committed to the principle of sabka saath-sabka vikas and our Muslim brothers and sisters will get the same benefits of economic development as the members of other communities.
