Secular alliance brings up 10 min film against NDA

Sharpening its attack on rival NDA, the Grand Secular Alliance today released a video clip showing the alleged backtracking of Narendra Modi government on major poll promises including bringing back of blackmoney stashed abroad and giving every citizen Rs 15-20 lakh from it.
The 10-minute long audio-visual clip titled 'Jumlon Ki Jubani, Jhooth ki Karistani' was shown to mediapersons at a joint press conference hosted by JD(U), RJD and Congress here.
Congress spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala, JD(U) spokesman Pawan Verma and his RJD counterpart Manoj Jha hosted the press conference together.
Incidently, the event took place an hour before Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley released BJP vision document for Bihar poll.

The short film showed how Narendra Modi government failed to implement its key poll promises such as distribution of Rs 15-20 lakh each to citizen from blackmoney brought back to the country, giving input cost plus 50 per cent as Minimum Support Price (MSP) to the farmers.
The film also highlighted the change in NDA government's position on key issues like GST and Land Acquisition legislation from its earlier stand.

"They (BJP) made plenty of promises with the people of the country (during Lok Sabha polls). What happened to those promises? The country is asking when the 'achche din' will come or will they make people fool once again after November 8," Surjewala told reporters.

"What happened to the promises made 16 months ago by the BJP?" the Congress spokesman asked.
Varma said that there must be some co-relation between words and deeds.
"It should not be the case that parties should forget the poll promises after winning elections. People should be aware of such parties which make hollow promises....This the trust which is important in democracy and if that goes, everything goes," Varma said.
Giving strength to RJD chief Lalu Prasad stand on reservation in the wake of comment of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on need for its review, RJD spokesman Manoj Jha said that BJP leaders' repeated assertions that quota would continue for SC, ST and OBC creates "a kind of doubt about their intention."

"Will BJP condemn RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat or will they seek a public apology from him for his statement for reviewing of reservation quota system?" Jha asked, and refused to accept the clarification issued by BJP leaders on the controversy.
The Congress spokesman too questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence over RSS chief's view on reservation issue.
